THE UMJ does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it. Additional age restrictions apply to the AI Chakra Guide (see Section 12 below).

12. AI Chakra Guide

This section explains how The Ultimate Manifestation Journey Ltd collects and uses your information when you interact with the AI Chakra Guide (the “Guide”), our conversational AI experience. It forms part of and supplements the main Privacy Policy above. Where this section conflicts with the main policy in relation to the Guide, this section applies.

12.1 Who is responsible for your data

Data controller: The Ultimate Manifestation Journey Ltd.
Registered address: Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom.
Contact: privacy@theumj.com

The Ultimate Manifestation Journey Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use the Guide. As a UK business that processes personal data electronically, we are subject to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

12.2 What the Guide collects

Depending on how you choose to interact, the Guide may process the following:

  • Voice input – if you select “Yes, I’m ready to talk”, your device microphone captures what you say so it can be converted to text. Speech-to-text is performed by your web browser’s built-in speech recognition.

  • Typed input – if you choose to type, we process the text you enter.

  • Conversation content – the messages exchanged between you and the Guide during a session, including any name or details you choose to share.

  • Approximate location – with your permission, your device’s approximate (city-level) location is used to personalise the conversation with relevant context such as local weather and time of day.

  • Technical data – standard information such as device type and browser, handled as set out in our main Privacy Policy.

The Guide processes your conversation only for the duration of your session in order to generate responses. We do not save your conversation transcripts to a UMJ database. Your messages are, however, transmitted to the third-party providers listed below so the Guide can function.

12.3 How your microphone is used

The microphone is only activated after you tick the consent box and select “Yes, I’m ready to talk”. You stay in control: you can mute the microphone at any time using the on-screen button, switch to typing, or close the Guide. Your browser will also request its own microphone permission, which you can withdraw at any time in your browser settings. The Guide listens only during an active conversation and pauses while it is speaking.

12.4 Third parties that process your conversation

To make the Guide work, parts of your interaction are sent to trusted service providers who act as our processors:

  • Anthropic – generates the Guide’s conversational responses (AI model provider).

  • ElevenLabs – converts the Guide’s replies into spoken voice (text-to-speech).

  • Open-Meteo – provides local weather context from your approximate location.

  • BigDataCloud – converts approximate coordinates into a city name for context.

  • Cloudflare – hosts the Guide and routes requests securely.

Anthropic and ElevenLabs are based in the United States, which means some of your conversation data is processed outside the UK. Such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. We encourage you to review these providers’ own privacy policies for further detail.

12.5 Legal basis for processing

Under the UK GDPR we rely on your consent as the legal basis for processing your voice, approximate location, and conversation data through the Guide. You give that consent by ticking the box and starting a conversation. You can withdraw it at any time by ending the conversation, declining microphone or location access, or contacting us at privacy@theumj.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

12.6 How long we keep it

UMJ does not retain your conversations on our own systems; they exist only for the duration of your session. Any processing or temporary handling by the third-party providers above is governed by their respective retention and privacy terms. Where we hold related records (for example, if you contact us by email), we keep them only as long as necessary for the purpose described in our main Privacy Policy.

12.7 Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights in relation to the Guide, contact us at privacy@theumj.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

12.8 Children

The AI Chakra Guide is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the Guide. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the Guide, please contact us so we can remove it.

12.9 Important limits

The Guide is an AI tool for reflection, motivation, and general wellbeing. It does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice and must not be relied upon as a substitute for a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or need urgent help, please contact a medical professional, NHS 111, the Samaritans on 116 123, or your local emergency services.

12.10 Changes to this section

We may update this section as the Guide evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “last updated” date.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. The date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.
