The Heart Chakra

Clipped_image_20250924_232848.png

If the Solar Plexus is fire, the Heart Chakra is the breeze that softens it. Called Anahata in Sanskrit, meaning “unstruck sound,” it represents the pure vibration beyond conflict. Centred in the chest, it bridges body and spirit—linking the grounded lower chakras with the higher, spiritual ones, uniting earth and sky, self and other. Its guardian, the Antelope, embodies grace, awareness, and balance. In Vedic tradition, the black antelope (Krishna Mrig) symbolizes purity and meditation’s subtle focus, while in African lore it represents guidance and gentleness. The antelope teaches that love, like awareness, must stay open and alert—free and fluid, moving with compassion rather than force.

Location

The Heart Chakra, Anahata, is connected to forests and meadows — places of growth, gathering, and harmony. These were the heartlands where people celebrated love, family, and community through songs, feasts, and offerings of flowers and leaves.

Anahata represents connection — the bond that unites family, tribe, and humanity. Across cultures, festivals of colour, love, and forgiveness reflected this energy of compassion and unity.

It teaches that love is strength — the power to heal, forgive, and connect. When balanced, the heart radiates empathy and joy; when blocked, it breeds grief and isolation. To live through Anahata is to move like the antelope — graceful, aware, and open to life’s flow.

Colour

The colour green symbolises growth, renewal, and healing. It is the colour of spring after the long winter, the leaves of sacred groves, and the fertile fields that sustained countless civilizations. For the villagers of India, Africa, and beyond, green was not only a colour but a promise: that life could always begin again. The heart, painted in green, became the source of balance and hope.

Frequency

Clipped_image_20250924_232848.png

The frequency of 639 Hz resonates with harmony in relationships, forgiveness, and unity. For ancient communities, harmony was survival: quarrels could tear villages apart, while unity ensured safety and abundance. Healing rituals often included chanting, flute-playing, and song circles that mirrored this frequency, bringing groups into coherence. In Africa, drums and dance were used to restore balance within communities; in India, bhajans and devotional chants carried this same healing vibration.
